A "lost album" of sorts, made last year and only just rediscovered in a forgotten nook of the artist's computer. Musical landscapers Distance continue to evolve slowly and subtly. A sublimely relaxing travelogue, with elements of world music and a newfound sonic crispness - one can almost touch the grit in Distance's trademark spoken-word murk, which is even more tauntingly just out of comprehension's reach.MP3 ZIP

HEMP050 - new release
Suppose 1990's IDM hadn't been shouted down by its smart-aleck kid brother, breakcore. Suppose rhythm was just another signpost on a trip deeper into texture.
